Guy Ritchie thinks Madonna is a good actress. The ‘Sherlock Holmes‘ director, who divorced the ‘4 Minutes’ singer after nearly eight years of marriage in 2008, claims her acting talents are unfairly written off because people struggle to imagine her as anything other than a pop superstar.  He said: “If you ask me, I think she’s all right. I think she’s perfectly good. I just don’t think people can get her persona out of the way.” Guy directed Madonna in the straight-to-DVD movie ‘Swept Away‘ in 2002, and despite the movie being blasted by critics, insists he is proud of the work they did together. He added to The Daily Beast website: “The whole thing is supposed to be ironic. It’s about a man that hits a woman. If you ask me, everything about it was rather interesting, but it was such a feral relationship between a man and woman and you just can’t get away with that in contemporary society.”  Despite public perception of Madonna, she won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Eva Peron in ‘Evita‘. Jude Law’s ‘Sherlock Holmes‘ costume felt like a “razor blade ” against his throat. The British actor – who portrays the title character’s sidekick Watson in the Guy Ritchie blockbuster – was left uncomfortable and hungry while wearing the old-fashioned attire because the restricting collar meant it was difficult for him to swallow his lunch. He explained: “I had to wear this terribly stiff, tight collar as part of my costume which was just horrible. On the first day I actually tried staying in character and wearing it to lunch. It was like trying to swallow sushi with a razor blade around my neck!” The ‘Alfie‘ star recently admitted he thought he was “insane” to sign up to be in the movie.  He only agreed to the part when he heard Robert Downey Jr. would be portraying the famous fictional detective.  “Luckily, it evolved into a wonderful experience.” Click Here to see nude pictures and videos.
