Victoria Beckham bought husband David a bulldog for Christmas. The former Spice Girl splashed out $3,200 on the pet pooch for the soccer star and gave it to him during the family’s festive celebrations at their U.K. home Beckingham Palace, in Hertfordshire. The as yet unnamed mutt will soon be flown out to Los Angeles to live with the couple and their three sons - Brooklyn, ten, Romeo, seven, and four-year-old Cruz. Victoria, 35, chose that particular breed because it is synonymous with the fighting spirit of the England soccer team and the country. A family friend told The Sun newspaper: “David absolutely loves the bulldog . Victoria said she chose the breed because it is a symbol of David’s spirit on the soccer field. He will be flown out to Los Angeles so the boys can look after it when their dad is away.” The dog is the third canine addition to the Beckham household. David, 34, already has two Rottweilers named Snoopy and Puff after rap superstars Snoop Dog and P. Diddy, formerly known as Puff Daddy. Guy Ritchie thinks Madonna is a good actress. The ‘Sherlock Holmes‘ director, who divorced the ‘4 Minutes’ singer after nearly eight years of marriage in 2008, claims her acting talents are unfairly written off because people struggle to imagine her as anything other than a pop superstar.  He said: “If you ask me, I think she’s all right. I think she’s perfectly good. ASPEN, Colo. - Charlie Sheen spent the better part of Christmas Day in a Colorado jail cell after being arrested on domestic violence allegations.  The 44-year-old actor was taken into custody Friday morning by officers responding to a 911 call from a house in this ski resort town about 200 miles west of Denver. The star of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men,” was taken to the Pitkin County jail and booked for investigation of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, Aspen police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro said. He was released in the late afternoon after posting $8,500 bond and being advised by a county judge on the conditions of his release, she said. His court date was set for Feb. 8. “That may be to determine whether a case goes forward or not,” he said.  Sheen is the son of actor Martin Sheen and brother of actor-director Emilio Estevez. He is married to Brooke Mueller Sheen, a real estate investor who gave birth to the couple’s first children, twin boys, in March. They married in May 2008 following Sheen’s bitter divorce and custody battle with actress Denise Richards.Sources close to the couple say the marriage had been troubled for some time, with Mueller “bored” with staying home with the Hollywood star. He explained: “I had to wear this terribly stiff, tight collar as part of my costume which was just horrible. On the first day I actually tried staying in character and wearing it to lunch. Several media and Internet outlets speculate that Woods could be seeking help for drug or sex addiction. ABC News has joined People Magazine in reporting that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren will get a divorce.  A source close to Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, told ABC News.com Wednesday that a “divorce is 100 percent on.” The same source said that Nordegren “wants all the dirty laundry to be out on the table” before she proceeds with the divorce.  The 29-year-old Nordegren has been photographed without her wedding ring.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon have reportedly split up.

The Hollywood couple - who began dating in 2007 - have decided to call time on their relationship but sources insist the break-up is amicable.

One said: “There are no other people involved. The relationship just ended. It just fizzled. But they also wanted to be careful and private about it because of Reese’s kids.”
